Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a counselling approach used to help clients change the way they think and ultimately feel about themselves. Your therapist will help you recognize negative self-talk and thought patterns impact your moods and actions. CBT is most effective when it is practiced consistently outside of session; your therapist will work with you to provide opportunities to practice CBT in your daily living. This can include writing, exercises and behavioral experiments.
CBT has been effective in treating many mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, self-esteem issues and many other challenges that impact day to day living. It is equally effective with adults and youth alike that are seeking ways to change their outlook on life.
